The Kennedy-King College Scholarship Fund was established to provide financial assistance for deserving students based upon financial need, and/or scholastic merit. Scholarship funds are to be used to defray educational costs (tuition, fees, or books) while enrolled at Kennedy-King College, Dawson Technical Institute, or Washburne Culinary Institute.
In rare cases, scholarship funds may be used as a One-Time Matching Grant to pay a prior balance on the student’s financial account. If approved, the scholarship will match the payment made by the student up to $250. After the grant is applied, the student’s account must result in a $0 balance for the semester requested.
Presidential scholarships may also be awarded to a Kennedy-King, Dawson or Washburne graduating honor student (full-time student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher) who is transferring to a senior institution (awards paid directly to the senior institution.)
