Scholarship applicants who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens must fill-out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available at www.fafsa.ed.gov, and complete the financial aid process.
NOTE: Applicants must complete a FAFSA and include their SAR (student aid report) with their application.
Immigrant and undocumented students must be pre-qualified under the Scholarship Qualification Process prior to applying for this scholarship.
The Malcolm X College Scholarship Fund was established to provide finanical assistance for deserving students based upon financial need. Scholarship monies are to be used to defray educational costs (tutition, fees, books, transportation or other critical necessities) while enrolled at Malcolm X College.
Eligibility Criteria
• Minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and in good standing.

• High school or GED graduate.

• Must be a resident of the City of Chicago and eligible for in-district tuition rates.

• Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester.

• Pursuing any associate degree or vocational certificate program.
